Fox River Grove School District 3 participates in the National School Lunch Program. This program is designed to provide students with a fully balanced nutritious lunch each day. Each K-8 student will be assigned a ‘food service account’ whereby charges for lunches and ala carte items (MS-snacks and drinks, ARS- individual cartons of milk) sold as well as payments for food and beverages are tracked on a daily basis.
Payment for food and beverages purchased through the school lunch program may be paid online, by cash or by check to School District 3. When sending in meal/milk payments (cash or check), please list the student’s full name and how much you would like placed in the account.
It is expected that each student’s “food service account” will maintain a positive balance status (ie. debit vs. credit system). An email notifying the parent or guardian will be sent weekly when an account becomes negative. Students at the MIddle School must maintain a positive balance to purchase ala carte items. Parents can monitor their student’s balance at any time by creating an account at School Payment Portal.
In addition, parents may set warnings on the accounts to notify them of low balances and set automatic online deposits.
Should a delinquent account remain past the current school year, the delinquency will follow the student to the next year until the payment has been received. Accounts with large negative balances will be referred to the district office for collection by a collection agency.
Forms for Free and Reduced Meal Plans are available within the Food Service Section of this website. All Debt occurring before being enrolled will still be in effect.
